Intimacy with strangers:
an exploration of the soul

It’s Theatre and it’s Tantra. Intimacy with strangers is about creating, nourishing and taking care of a connection and ourselves. We will do this consciously and with intention through movement and actions combining the of Grotowski's Method of Physical Actions with the transformative principles of Tantra.

 

Drawing inspiration from Tantra’s practices, we will delve into the approach, contact, and farewell moments within the context of a budding intimate relationship. We will reflect on the importance of setting intentions and staying true to ourselves and others. The tools provided in this workshop will empower participants to navigate these crucial moments with authenticity and depth.

 

The workshop will provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can explore their boundaries, release inhibitions, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others. Through a combination of partner exercises participants will gradually dissolve barriers and forge meaningful connections with individuals they may have just met.

 

Each participant will be encouraged to find their own unique way of being present in the space and engaging with others. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, as we embrace the understanding that every individual's journey is distinct. By exploring the distinction between activity and action (following Grotowski's terminology), participants will be guided towards a new level of awareness and presence in their interactions.

 

No prior experience in theatre or Tantra is necessary to participate in this workshop. It is open to all who are curious and ready to embark on a transformative exploration of self-expression, connection, and authenticity.
